Consumer Neuroscience – Camera Systems

For Consumer Neuroscience and Neuroeconomics applications—Record multiple or single subjects and synchronize the video recording to their physiological data. BIOPAC offers multi-subject monitoring systems, and a high frame rate camera system that allows for full video monitoring of experimental protocols and subject interaction.

Multi-Subject Video Monitoring Systems

BIOPAC now offers multi-subject video monitoring systems. These Camera Systems record multiple subjects or camera angles and AcqKnowledge media functionality synchronizes the video to any physiological data being recorded with the MP150 Research System. High frame rate (100 fps), multi-subject, and standard USB cameras triggered by the AcqKnowledge Stimulator are also supported.

High Frame Rate Camera System

The CAM-HFR-A system connects to a Windows PC via included Ethernet card and is controlled through the Media Menu in AcqKnowledge 4.3.1 or above. AcqKnowledge software generates an analog output signal (automatically controlled via stimulator) to drive the camera. The sync pulse is set in the software by adjusting the frame rate (up to 100 fps).

Dyadic Interactions Involving Parents, Children, Couples, and More | Recording from Multiple Participants Part I

Synchronizing Data from Multiple Participants
Performing a dyadic experiment takes more planning than single-participant studies. Data must be tightly synchronized, equipment must remain inobtrusive, and the experimental paradigm drives the optimal setup. Join us to learn how to record high-quality synchronized data for a wide range of applications.

What You Will Learn:
– How to synchronize data from two participants
– Recording options: ECG, EDA, EEG, fNIRS, Video
– Collaborative virtual environments
– Data analysis techniques
– Practical tips—and advice on working with children
– New ideas about your research
