260 – Using Vibromyography to obtain length-tension curves for the quadriceps muscles
To date it has been difficult to characterize the length-tension curve for a specific muscle. However, recent developments in the application of vibromyographic (VMG) technology to assess muscle effort permit an accurate determination of length-tension curve, thereby permitting accurate diagnosis and rehabilitation of muscle.
Associated Applications
- EMG: Electromyography - Record surface, needle, and fine wire EMG—or wireless EMG with BioNomadix. Use real-time integration tools for immediate analysis or use automated EMG analysis routines.
- Biomechanics - Use BIOPAC equipment for gait analysis, goniometry, ergonomics evaluation, range of motion, EMG, Remote Monitoring or to interface with third-party equipment.
- Vibromyography (VMG) - Muscle Activity - Capture muscle force data in real time. Features include improved reproducability between subjects, reduced setup time, no skin prep, and no electrodes.
