Use the guided setup features in the AcqKnowledge® Stimulator dialog to design visual, auditory, electrical (current/voltage), somatosensory, stimulation paradigms.
BIOPAC electrical stimulators are suitable for Electrical Muscle Stimulation (EMS), Functional Electrical Stimulation (FES), Neuromuscular Electrical Stimulation (NMES), and Vagus Nerve Stimulation (VNS), general nerve stimulation and auditory output. The AcqKnowledge stimulator dialog makes it easy to create basic and advanced stimulus paradigms, including arbitrary waveforms. Stimulus isolation adapters provide options for constant current and constant voltage stimulation. The Research Stimulator includes dual, independent, analog outputs that are automatically controlled either from the start of data acquisition or manually from the stimulator setup dialog. The stimulators can also be remotely controlled via the digital I/O lines. This allows stimulus presentation systems to start electrical stimulation at specific points in a presentation—useful for pain and shock studies.See More...
The stimulator setup provides a variety of pre-formatted output options including square, sine and triangle waves. It’s also possible to create stimulus waveforms of any polarity and shape. The output options are adjusted either graphically or numerically for easy control of pulse amplitude, pulse duration, frequency, and start time. Users can also output a previously recorded waveform or create customized stimuli using the waveform math tools. The MP160/MP150 has two analog outputs and can output two independent stimulus signals at the same time. Use the STM100C stimulator module with a suitable stimulus isolation adapter to deliver constant current and constant voltage stimulation.
