Off-line ECG Averaging

AcqKnowledge ECG Average

Use off-line ECG Averaging to quickly isolate changes in the ECG complex. Display the averaged ECG complex before, during and after dosing or exercising. Select an area and AcqKnowledge® will calculate the average ECG complex.

By performing this routine for baseline, control and dosing additions, users can display all the results in one graph and overlap them to highlight any changes that occurred during the course of the experiment. This capability is useful for long-term hemodynamic, exercise physiology and cardiology investigations.

This is one of many ADVANCED FEATURES for the selected Application. Scroll down for hardware options.

The averaging process is automated through the Ensemble Averaging feature. The analysis routine will create the average around a peak in the data, ECG R-wave peak, or via event marks that exist in the data. If the ECG automated analysis is performed, the ECG complex events can be used to trigger the average. The averaged waveform will also include the event marks and the number that were averaged. In some instances, the ECG analysis routine may not be able to identify parts of the ECG waveform so it will not add an event mark, but the average will let you know how many events were identified within the selected region of data.
