Ventricular Late Potentials (VLPs)

AcqKnowledge ECG Average

Apply signal averaging on the ECG signal to detect VLPs, the small-amplitude, short-duration waves that occur after the QRS complex and are precursors to cardiac arrhythmias. Perform off-line averaging to trigger on the R-wave peaks and average the time delta after each peak, then use the measurement tools to calculate the duration and RMS values of the VLPs. If the ECG complex analysis is run before performing the ensemble average, the software will indicate how many events were identified within the selected area of data.

Bioimpedance and Cardiac Output with TREV—a User-friendly, Noninvasive Technique

Learn a technique—Trans-radial Electrical Bioimpedance Velocimetry (TREV)—that is more user-friendly and less invasive than the transthoracic method. TREV measures blood movement in the radial and ulnar arteries of the forearm via bioimpedance.
Topics Covered:
– Presentation and discussion of TREV
– Derived Indices Relevant to TREV
– Hardware setup
– Participant setup
– Recognizing good quality and bad quality data
– Demonstration with the grip anticipation test
– Review of results from other tests
