TSD110-MRI Pressure Pad / Respiration Transducer

Use the TSD110-MRI Pressure Pad / Respiration Transducer to record pulse and pulse rate—it requires no electrical connections inside the chamber and works on a number of body locations.

To record the pulse waveform, position the TSD110-MRI transducer around the tip of the finger, or over one of the major pulse points (such as the carotid or radial arteries), and affix with TAPE1. If the subject will use his/her hand(s) to respond or to perform a task, place the sensor on the neck, above the carotid artery. If the subject has to give vocal responses, place the transducer on the wrist, or on the chest close to the heart.

The TSD110-MRI consists of a TSD160A differential pressure transducer, RX110 sensor, and AFT30XL tubing. The multipurpose TSD110-MRI can be used to:

  1. Measure pulse when placed on a major pulse point.
  2. Noninvasively measure respiration—from a small mouse to a human.
  3. Measure small pressing forces (like pinching fingers together) for Parkinson’s evaluations.
  4. Measure human smiling (with the sensor on the cheekbone).
  5. Measure spacing and pressure between teeth coming together.
