This automated routine estimates cardiac output from an arterial BP signal when no cardiac output signal is available. The routine uses a single continuous ABP signal recorded by an NIBP unit (NIBP100D). The blood pressure signal is classified according to specified hemodynamic preferences and examined for systolic (syst) and diastolic (dias) Events. Individual blood pressure cycles are marked from diastole to diastole, with the time interval converted to BPM. For a particular cycle, the left diastole will be associated with the cycle. The routine uses the Liljestrand formula to compute output.
