Actigraphy noninvasively measures cycles of activity and sleep (rest) over days or even weeks, typically to assess sleep disorders and other sleep-related criteria.
Use the Actigraphy Analysis licensed feature in AcqKnowledge® to record long-term accelerometer data of mobile subjects and then analyze sleep and activity patterns; correlate activity levels with GPS positioning for more detailed analysis.
General activity levels of the subject are recorded with a wireless tri-axial accelerometer (BioNomadix®, Mobita®, or BioHarness®), and the Actigraphy Analysis routine provides a general indication of Activity and Sleep patterns.
See More...AcqKnowledge software records and reports Activity and Sleep as a plotted graph and spreadsheet that can easily be exported.
The Activity mode analyzes data collected from the subject throughout the day. It reports on the general level of activity evident in the accelerometry data and breaks it into low, medium and high activity levels. The following activity metrics are reported:
The Sleep mode uses a zero crossing algorithm that breaks data into one minute windows as described in the publication by Sadeh A, Sharkey K, et. al. The algorithm then employs a sleep onset heuristic as reported by Cole R, Kripke D, et. al. The following sleep-related metrics are reported:

The NICO Smart Amplifier is specifically designed to measure thoracic impedance for performing noninvasive cardiac output measurements. The amplifier terminates in two connectors for impedance (Z) and its derivative (dZ), and has a 3 m cable that connects directly to an AMI100D Amplifier Input Module. Use with EL526 strip electrodes and CBL246 adapter or with EL500 […]
