Electrogastrogram Amplifier

Advanced Amplifier for Research Applications

Selectable signal conditioning—filter or transform data as it is being collected

Cascade up to 16 amplifer modules per MP Research System for multi-parameter or multi-subject studies

Electrogastrogram Amplifier
Part #: EGG100C

The EGG100C Electrogastrogram Amplifier amplifies the electrical signal resulting from stomach and intestinal smooth muscle activity. The amplifier monitors the DC potential on the skin surrounding, or surface of, the intestine and stomach, which is indicative of the degree of slow wave contraction. The amplifier permits DC coupling to electrodes for signal amplification and presentation without discernible decay.

The EGG100C  is part of a complete research system solution. These amplifiers interface with the MP150 data acquisition and analysis platform and AcqKnowledge software, allowing advanced analysis for multiple applications.

AcqKnowledge™ software includes a fully automated EGG Gastric wave analysis routine for single and multi-channel EGG recordings.

Mobita Advances Prestimulus EEG Research

The Mobita 32-Channel EEG recording system was used in research examining if physiological data can be used to predict truly random events that correspond to perceptual stimuli. Baumgart, et al. from the University of California Santa Barbara utilized a quantum random number generator (qRNG) to choose from three randomized conditions: light, sound, and no stimulus. […]

News Citations—Respiration and Cardiovascular Activity

BIOPAC provides software and hardware that allow for research teams to record and analyze respiration activity in physiological experimentation. Here are a few notable studies in monitoring respiration and cardiovascular activity. The coupling between peripheral microcirculation and slow breathing: The purpose of this study was to investigate the coupling of breathing movements and microcirculatory blood […]
