AcqKnowledge software utilizes guided channel setting dialogs, allowing the user to easily configure all channel data types and parameters. Once parameters are established, recording settings can be saved as a graph template for future use. This allows for instant start up for subsequent recording sessions

During recording, see real-time live raw EEG data as well as real-time filtering or calculation channels. Display EEG frequency bands (alpha, beta, delta, theta) in real-time during recording, or choose from a variety of other filter and calculation settings. Easily insert markers for different stimuli presentation or experimental conditions throughout recording.

EEG and other physiological data can also be synchronized to video recording via BIOPAC Camera Systems. With Camera Systems EEG data and Video Data are time linked in AcqKnowledge. Simply scroll through either the video or physiological data to be taken to the corresponding data point in the other file.

EEG Frequency Analysis

This analysis divides the EEG signals into fixed-width time epochs and performs various feature extractions to examine the power within the EEG signals.

EEG Frequency analysis provides the following measures for each user defined epoch:

  • Mean Power
  • Median Frequency
  • Mean Frequency
  • Spectral Edge
  • Peak Frequency

Delta Power Analysis

Provides total power of EEG signal that occurs within the delta frequency band. Delta power can be an indicator of sleep/wakefulness and other conditions.

Derive EEG Frequency Bands

Generates five standard EEG bands: Alpha, Beta, Theta, Delta, and Gamma from raw EEG data.

Derive Alpha RMS

Derive Alpha RMS constructs an integrated RMS waveform from an alpha EEG signal. Alpha RMS is the windowed root mean square value of the signal using a window width of 0.25 seconds.

Remove EOG Artifacts

Record a channel of EOG with your EEG data to take advantage of the EOG artifact removal tool. Cleaned EEG data can then be used for further analysis with more accurate results.

AcqKnowledge EEG Analysis Routines are customizable and can be applied to multiple channels. Easily select which channels to include in EEG Analysis Routines. Analyze multiple channels simultaneously!

Additional Tools for Recording EEG in the MRI

Record EEG data in the MRI by adding on specialized MRI Smart Amplifiers. The EEG100C-MRI amplifier and cable/filter set allow for cleaner data recordings in the MRI environment. After recording, take advantage of automated MRI data processing tools in AcqKnowledge.
