Use this disposable bacteriological filter with integrated mouthpiece to protect subjects and equipment.

AFT36 is intended for use with only SS11LB—35 mm outer diameter fits directly on the outside of the SS11LB airflow head.

  • Exceeds all recommended performance standards
  • 99.9% bacterial filtration efficiency
  • 99.9% viral filtration efficiency
  • Low resistance
  • Minimal dead space
  • 45 mL when measured without tube fittings
  • CE Marked
  • Surpasses published ATS recommendations for flow resistance in pulmonary function instrumentation, which suggest Resistance should be below 1.5 cm H2O/L/sec at flow rates less than 12 L/sec1.

AFT36 10-pack included in the following BSL Systems: Advanced, Ultimate, Human Physiology, Biology, Pharmacology, Psychology, Biomedical Engineering, Health Sciences.

Any connected airflow transducer and tubing should be cold sterilized using Cidex OPA between subjects.

High-Filtration Efficiency Without Sacrificing Resistance

The AFT36 bacteriological filter provides a high degree of protection for the subject, while its low resistance allows for accurate testing results.

This pulmonary function filter is highly effective and easily surpasses published ATS recommendations for flow resistance in pulmonary function instrumentation, which suggest resistance should be below 1.5 cm H2O/L/sec at flow rates of 14 L/sec:
