These couplers connect a variety of air flow port IDs and ODs to transducers, tubing, filters, mixing chambers, and calibration syringes.

SS11LB AIRFLOW CONNECTIONS

The SS11LB transducer uses flow head RX117A, which has multiple outer diameters to directly connect to the AFT36 mouthpiece/filter, AFT7L tubing, and other pulmonary products. The tiered airflow head has a different design than the SS11LA so different couplers are required for other BIOPAC airflow parts.

AFT Series Part # RX117A Flow Head Coupler/Combination/Notes
AFT1 Direct connection to SS11LB, but not recommended due to airflow restriction;  use AFT36 in place of AFT1 + AFT2.
AFT6A Not recommended for SS11LB. Use FLOWCAL calibration kit. May still be connected to the SS11LB using the AFT11A coupler included with the AFT6A.
AFT7L Direct connection to SS11LB.
AFT8 Autoclavable Mouthpiece Either connect directly if sterilizing airflow head. If not sterilizing head can use AFT4 disposable filter (connect AFT8 to smaller diameter of filter, larger diameter to SS11LB).
AFT9 35mm Reusable Mouthpiece Replaced by AFT8 Autoclavable Mouthpiece. The AFT8 has a better fit with the SS11LB.
AFT10 Disposable Facemask AFT11H 35 mm OD/28.6 mm ID.
AFT12 Direct connection to SS11LB. Snug, but fits in the inner diameter of airflow head.
AFT13 (OBSOLETE) AFT13 has been discontinued. Replaced by the AFT36 mouthpiece/filter.
AFT23 Low-cost T-Valve Reusable mouthpiece: AFT4 + AFT8 + AFT11D 35 mm OD/35 mm ODDisposable mouthpiece:  AFT36 + AFT11D 35 mm OD/35 mm OD
AFT26 2 L syringe AFT11D 35 mm OD/35 mm OD. This coupler is included in the FLOWCAL calibration kit.
AFT36 Disposable Filter with Integrated Mouthpiece Direct connection to SS11LB.
