AcqKnowledge software includes the following automated EGG routines, along with dozens of other automated analysis routines and transformation tools:

  • Gastric Wave Analysis
  • Gastric Wave Coupling

Set up and recording is streamlined via intuitive hardware and software controls.

AcqKnowledge software utilizes guided channel setting allowing the user to easily input recording channel data. Once parameters are established, recording settings can be saved as a graph template for future use. This allows for instant start up for subsequent recording sessions.

EGG and other physiological data can also be synchronized to video recording via BIOPAC Camera Systems. With Camera Systems EGG data and Video Data are time linked in AcqKnowledge. Simply scroll through either the video or physiological data to be taken to the corresponding data point in the other file.

EGG Automated Analysis Package Overview

Gastric Wave Analysis

This analysis determines the classification of gastric waves present in an EGG signal. Routine finds the percentage of gastric waves that fall within frequency bands corresponding to normal, bradygastric, and tachygastric.

  • Choose from available presets for human and dog gastric waves—or create your own custom preset!

EGG Gastric Coupling

Gastric Wave Coupling

 Use the Gastric Wave Coupling Routine to:

  • Determine the amount of slow-wave propagation across the stomach
  • Classify the contractions in multiple EGG signals according to user-configurable frequency bands.
  • Output a measure of the percentage of coupling between the two EGG signals

The analysis result window will display the percentage of waves that fit each of the following categories:

  • Normal
  • Bradygastric
  • Tachygastric
  • Arrhythmia

For the coupling analysis, the percent coupling result will also be shown so you can determine slow wave propagation!
