VMG TSD250A MEMS Accelerometer
Part #: VMG102WSW, VMG102WS, VMG104WS, VMG104WSW
The system uses sensitive microelectromechanical (MEMS) accelerometers and advanced signal analysis algorithms to monitor muscle vibration. The Vibromyography technique allows researchers to study muscle performance and strength balance.
The VMG accelerometers are placed over the muscle belly and held in place* to record the small vibrations that occur when the muscle is activated. AcqKnowledge software uses wavelet packet analysis to extract the vibrational components that correlate with the effort generated by the muscle being studied. AcqKnowledge includes automated VMG analysis filters to simplify the analysis process.

Compatibility

VMG provides extremely reproducible results. The single sensor solution and the lack of skin preparation improve the reliability and reproducibility of muscle effort recordings between muscles and across subjects. One major benefit of being able to compare readings between muscles and between subjects is the ability to perform muscle balance assessments.
Benefits
  • Ability to perform muscle balance assessments
  • Improved reproducibility between muscles and individuals
  • Convenient setup
  • Reduced setup time
  • Improved subject comfort
  • No electrodes
  • No skin preparation

Dyadic Interactions Involving Parents, Children, Couples, and More | Recording from Multiple Participants Part I

Synchronizing Data from Multiple Participants
Performing a dyadic experiment takes more planning than single-participant studies. Data must be tightly synchronized, equipment must remain inobtrusive, and the experimental paradigm drives the optimal setup. Join us to learn how to record high-quality synchronized data for a wide range of applications.

What You Will Learn:
– How to synchronize data from two participants
– Recording options: ECG, EDA, EEG, fNIRS, Video
– Collaborative virtual environments
– Data analysis techniques
– Practical tips—and advice on working with children
– New ideas about your research
