Module Extension Cables

DA100C or B-Series Amp to 2 mm
Part #: MEC100, MEC100C, MEC110, MEC110C, MEC111, MEC111C

Add lead length & protect your system

Module extension cables increase the distance between subject and recording system, allowing increased subject movement and comfort. Each 3-meter extension cable attaches to one amplifier; electrodes and transducers plug into the extension cable’s molded plastic input plug. Includes a clip for attaching to a subject’s belt loop or clothing. MEC series extension cables contain no ferrous parts (less the removable clothing clip).

Compatibility

Use MEC100C or MEC110C when you simply need to increase the lead length to the amplifier.

The MEC111 or or MEC111C are required for the protection of your MP System and Biopotential amplifiers when electrocautery or defibrillation equipment is used while recording data.

IMPORTANT SAFETY NOTE: The MEC100 series is not to be used on humans when they are undergoing electrosurgery or defibrillation. In fact, no BIOPAC equipment should be connected to human subjects during the course of defibrillation or electrosurgery.

EL-CHECK Impedance Checker

Electrode Impedance Checker

Use EL-CHECK to measure the impedance between surface electrodes attached to a subject—works on all signal types! EL-CHECK is suitable for measuring electrode contact impedance for all surface biopotential measurements, including those for ECG, EEG, EGG, EMG, EOG, Bioimpedance and Impedance Cardiography. The EL-CHECK permits simultaneous connection of up to three electrode leads, for quick impedance […]

New Citations—VR Muscle Training, Hypertension, & Stem Cell Smile Reconstruction

Virtual Reality Muscle Training in Stroke Patients: Muscle weakening of the lower extremities has a significant correlation with loss of balance and walking ability in stroke patients. Researchers at Sehan University studied the effect of a virtual reality-based eccentric training program on lower extremity muscle activation and balance for rehabilitation of stroke patients. BIOPAC’s EMG100C surface […]

New Citations—ECG Personal Identification, Cognitive Decline and Exercise, & Mechanical Impulses

Personal Identification: Researchers from Yonsei University recently performed a study testing the viability of using ECG signals for individual identification, much like a password or key. Their study investigated experiments that recorded ECG after exercise and estimated the recognition potential of these signals. ECG was measured from subjects using the BIOPAC MP150 data acquisition system […]
