• Provide trainees basics of fNIRS/EEG required for successful training (with videos and documents on concepts, distance, Pros & Cons)
• On-site Trainings only: Provide trainer overview of research application/goal

Research Lab completes offline 1 week before the training

• Unbox and set up equipment and software per guidelines
• Confirm setup is functional—online check with remote trainer

• Review basics of fNIRS/EEG, MedelOpt System, and Montage (based on MedelOpt Training montage)
• Set up the exoskeleton on a participant
• Understand how fNIRS/EEG montage can be changed

• Set up ElOpt software
• Run a MedelOpt acquisition
• Convert raw data into .snirf format
• If system uses EEG: Basic understanding of EEG and triggers

• Run a simple fNIRS post processing protocol using Training dataset and sample open-source analysis program

• Adapt Exoskeleton montage to research lab’s protocol
• Review lab-specific acquisition protocol (from set up on a new participant to fNIRS post-processing)
