Disposable, single fiber probes are designed for safe, continuous, invasive microvascular blood flow monitoring—particularly useful for making blood flow measurements under the skin. All disposable probes incorporate a coupling bead to interface with the TSD148 single fiber driver for connection to the LDF100C module.

  • TSD147 probes are thin (0.5 mm diameter), flexible plastic fibers; supplied pre-sterilized, in a pack of two.
  • TSD148 is precision-machined coupling system to connect TSD147 probes to the LDF100C module.

All disposable LDF probes can be used in the MRI environment.

Single fiber probes are composed of a polymethyl methacrylate core and a tough fluorinated polymer cladding. Probes can be directly inserted into tissue using a standard 22 G ID cannula. Shorter lengths are possible by cutting the fiber with a sharp blade at a right angle to the fiber length; longer probe lengths are available upon request.

Driver consists of a compact laser driver housed in a non-metallic Delrin housing, terminated with a 2-meter cable for connection to the LDF100C module.
