The SS11LA is intended for human use and can be used to perform a variety of tests relating to airflow and lung volume. It is ideal for classroom applications because the transducer has a removable head for sterilization and replacement (RX117).
Use standard disposable mouthpieces with disposable bacterial filters, or use an autoclavable mouthpiece, depending on your budget and/or lab preference. The SS11LA can be used with the AFT22 Non-Rebreathing T-valve for low dead space requirements, and to monitor expiration and inspiration signals seperately.
The detachable flow head (RX117) is dishwasher safe.
Recommended sterilization: cold sterilization (i.e., Cidex) or autoclave.
