This training focuses on Ultra-Short-Term and Short-Term Heart Rate Variability (UST HRV) measurement using time-series analysis options within AcqKnowledge software. HRV is the change in time intervals between successive cardiac cycles. Ultra-short heart rate variability refers to analysis of ECG segments that are shorter than 5 minutes, rather than 24-hour segments as used for standard HRV. Autonomic, cardiovascular, and respiratory system regulations operate at a faster time scale and contribute to these measurements. There are no clear guidelines for recording UST HRV, though time constraints have encouraged researchers to use shorter measurement durations for daily HRV monitoring. Both convenience and wearable technology are driving UST HRV usage. In this webinar, we will demonstrate recording of high-quality ECG data as well as preparing data for analysis through UST HRV measurements during acute stress, Valsalva maneuver, and paced breathing. A preview of the new AcqKnowledge Workflow tool will be showcased to highlight the automated analysis process. You will learn the following:
