A14 CPG Hornworm

This PRO lesson describes the hardware and software setup necessary to record the electrical activity from the muscle of the hornworm pupae.

Experimental Objectives

  1. To record the electrical activity of the muscle.
  2. To identify spontaneously occurring activity.
  3. To stimulate the Gin trap reflex.

Tasks Performed by the Student

  • Record baseline
  • Gently rub a small piece of paper along the side of the gin traps.
