Combine the human-safe stimulating electrode with the stimulator to record nerve conduction experiments. Stimulate the ulnar nerve and record nerve conduction time (see Lesson H03). This allows students to stimulate a subject at three different points along the ulnar nerve. The distance between the stimulation and recording points are measured and the velocity of signal propagation along the nerve (motor response) is calculated.

Disposable Long-term Electrodes | Small, pre-gelled, electrodes. Most appropriate for long-term ( > 2 hours ) biopotential measurements. The hydrogel base also lends these electrodes to electrical stimulation studies, such as for nerve conduction velocity or tDCS. These disposable, long-term recording, snap electrodes provide the same signal transmission as reusable electrodes, with added convenience and hygiene. Each peel-and-stick electrode… | $45.00 - $364.00 Select options |
General-purpose Electrodes | These pre-gelled disposable electrodes have a circular contact and are most suitable for short-term recordings, including surface EMG, ECG, EOG, etc. The small vinyl backing allows close electrode placement where necessary, and a slightly less firm adhesive allows "ouchless" removal. The electrodes incorporate liquid electrolyte gel and moderately-high chloride salt concentration for quick, accurate readings.… | $42.00 - $310.00 Select options |
Cloth Base Electrodes | These disposable cloth base electrodes adhere well and are particularly useful for applications on non-conforming surfaces, such as facial EMG measurements. Due to hydrogel electrolyte concentration, these are also suitable for electrical stimulation studies. Electrodes have a circular contact on a square backing. The adhesive solid hydrogel ensures good contact, and the silver-silver chloride (Ag/AgCl)… | $28.00 - $168.00 Select options |
Voltage Stimulators | The Voltage Stimulator connects to either the MP36/MP35 or the MP30. BNC output provides compatibility with a variety of stimulator cables. The voltage Range and Level are manually controlled while the pulse timing is user-adjustable and controlled by the Biopac Student Lab software. The Voltage Range (.025-10 Volts or .12-100 Volts) is established by a switch with… | |
Electrode Gels | Use this non-irritating, hypo-allergenic gel as conductant with electrodes. Click to review MSDS. MRI Use: Conditional Condition: Max MR field strength 7T. (See Specifications for components.) See GEL101 for an isotonic paste option. | $8.00 - $17.00 Select options |
Stim Electrode, Human-safe | The Human-safe Stimulation Electrode HSTM01 provides a superior degree of safety and comfort when using a Voltage Stimulator for human stimulation. The ergonomic design allows the user to focus on the electrode placement instead of worrying about holding the electrode. Subjects depress the red safety switch to allow the software-controlled stimulus presentation through. To stop… | $280.00 Add to cart |
Lead set, shielded, BSL | This fully-shielded cable assembly permits high resolution recording of biopotentials using our EL500 series disposable electrodes. The 2 meter adapter is terminated with standard pinch connectors to interface with EL500 series snap electrodes. The SS2LB interfaces with Biopac Student Lab data acquisition units (MP3X or MP45) and the MP36R research unit. Compatible releases BSL Lessons… | $200.00 Add to cart |
The Dual Wireless Respiration and ECG BioNomadix module pair consists of a matched transmitter and receiver pair optimized for respiration and electrocardiogram data; record one or both signals. RSP (CH A)–measure abdominal or thoracic expansion and contraction while breathing ECG (CH B)–record electrical activity generated by the heart The high signal to noise ratio and […]
View AllBIOPAC provides researchers with a complete range of tools to gather data on heart rate variability (HRV). The following studies demonstrate just some of the ways in which HRV research benefits from the implementation of BIOPAC hardware and software solutions. PTSD and HRV Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) has been associated with dysfunction of the autonomic […]
