Cardiovascular Hemodynamics

Modular construction...extreme flexibility

MP systems offer features to support nearly every physiological recording scenario. The following advanced features apply to the application you selected.

If you don't see an Advanced Feature that interests you, please contact BIOPAC so we can identify the best solution for your particular need.

Data Logger

BIOPAC offers a variety of logger options with AcqKnowledge® for biopotential data recordings…

Defibrillation and Electrocautery

Use MEC series Module Extension Cables to protect MP System amplifiers against high-frequency currents.

ECG Classification

AcqKnowledge® software includes a fully automated ECG classification routine. The robust QRS detector is tuned for human ECG Lead II signals. It attempts to locate QRS complexes and places an event near the center of each QRS complex to classify the type of heartbeat event: Normal—The beat was recognizable as a valid heartbeat falling in […]

Heart Rate Variability (HRV) Analysis Software

AcqKnowledge® includes a series of automated Heart Rate Variability (HRV) analysis tools that conform to international cardiology standards. It is possible to perform the analysis over user defined selections of data, or automatically within user specified time periods, or between stimulus presentation event marks, or user entered event marks. The user can also create focus […]

Impedance Cardiography and Cardiac Output

Record and analyze impedance cardiography data Use automated ICG analysis to output key measures Use Ensemble Averaging to view the averaged dZ/dt signal AcqKnowledge offers a comprehensive array of noninvasive impedance cardiography (ICG) tools for recording parameters associated with virtually any kind of biological electrical bioimpedance monitoring. Extracted measures can be displayed as new channels […]

Interface With Existing Equipment

MP Systems will interface with a wide variety of third-party equipment such as flow meters, force plates, sono-micrometers, telemetry equipment, transducers, amplifiers, metabolic carts, and bedside monitors. BIOPAC offers two interface solutions: isolated for human use and non-isolated for animal and in vitro applications. See Amplifiers & Interfaces for more information.

Left Ventricular Pressure (LVP) Analysis

Calculate and record left ventricular pressure (LVP) data from acute, chronic and isolated heart preparations. Use the MPMS200 Micro Pressure Measurement System for small vessel recordings, including mouse left and right ventricular blood pressure. Interface with a variety of invasive transducers, including the popular series of Millar Mikro-Tip Catheters.

Monophasic Action Potential

Use the MCE100C amplifier module to record the MAP signal and use the Macintosh version of AcqKnowledge to automate the analysis process. The software performs classification of MAP data acquired from a human or animal subject and extracts various cycle by cycle intervals. The software scores the waveform to identify the appropriate points of the signal, […]

MRI Trigger / R-wave Synch

Use the DTU100 Digital Trigger Unit to trigger an MRI System with the occurrence of the R-wave present in ECG, respiratory data or blood pressure for gating purposes. This external hardware module can accept data from any analog output associated with an MP System and convert that analog signal into a TTL compatible trigger suitable for synchronizing […]

Online Analysis

Utilize the powerful online analysis capabilities of the AcqKnowledge software for chronic, acute and in-vitro preparations in both long- and short-term experiments. Sophisticated algorithms will record and analyze, online, a variety of hemodynamic signals. The calculation channels process raw hemodynamic data to provide meaningful parameters on a beat-by-beat basis. The result of one calculation can be […]
