Disgust, Parkinson’s, and Alternative Med—New Citations

Brand new publications have been released featuring BIOPAC solutions. These new papers include:

  • Disgust and Fear with Sexual Arousal: An experiment was recently performed to investigate how disgust and fear interact with women’s sexual arousal. Results were acquired using a BIOPAC MP system and AcqKnowledge software. Read the entire paper here.
  • Enhancing Willingness to Exert Effort with Parkinson’s disease: This study examined whether dopaminergic therapy would incentivize decision-making efforts in patients with Parkinson’s disease. Two BIOPAC hand dynamometers were used to measure exertion. Find the study here.
  • Sympathetic Arousal’s role in healing: This paper examined an alternative medicine “complex healing ritual” and how the role of psychophysiological changes could influence a patient’s subjective well-being. A BIOPAC MP150 System was used to record ECG, Electrodermal Activity (EDA), and respiratory activity. Download the paper here.

You can find these studies and more over on our publications page.
