4T is an opportunity to network and to learn. It’s all about the four Ts: Tools, Trends, Techniques, and Technology. We’re always trying to update our techniques and standardize across the board. Let people be flexible and creative in their research because that’s what makes it great, what makes it unique. But there are standardized things they can do in terms of setup, how to use the equipment, to having access to the right tools within the equipment because we have such a robust platform that most people under-utilize what they are doing and we can save them a lot of time and energy. It’s a great time to be in Santa Barbara. We’re here in summertime, Santa Barbara is beautiful. Learning about what they’re currently doing and trying to advance the field—it’s a great networking opportunity. We’re able to really detail the integration between BIOPAC products and our partner products. We can show the benefits of the technology and really emphasize the way the different platforms interface with one another. It’s a collegiate atmosphere, really geared toward educating everyone.

The inaugural 4T Human Physiology Conference—Tools, Trends, Techniques, and Technology—provided life science researchers and educators the opportunity to meet with academic and industry leaders and BIOPAC experts for practical, hands-on, how-to instruction in key skills necessary to record and analyze great life science data. High-quality scientific tools for physiology measurement and interpretation of data recorded in the lab, in the MRI, and in real-world and virtual environments with wired, wearable wireless, and MRI-compatible devices were presented. BIOPAC’s world-class life science research and teaching platforms for acquisition and analysis of ECG, EEG, EGG, EMG, EOG and over 300 other signals and physiological measurements were demonstrated along with stand-alone and integrated systems for eye tracking, stimulus presentation, fnirs imaging, NIBP, and more.
