Exercise Physiology and Biomechanics – Human

Combine a wide range of Respiratory System & Pulmonary Function signals with biomechanical data. Use the new Gas Analysis System for online analysis of expired O2 and CO2  levels. Options are available for continuous blood pressure and cardiac output, and the system easily interfaces with force plates and other instrumentation (more than 18 ready-made connectors […]

Gas Analysis – Animal

Use the new gas analysis system for detailed metabolic studies in small and medium sized animals. Chambers, couplers, facemasks, and tubing options provide setup options for any protocol. The system can provide online measures of O2 and CO2 for RER, VO2 and BMR/RMR. Use the dissolved O2 probe and lesson to measure the oxygen consumption […]

Gas Analysis – Biology

Students can use the new gas analysis system to monitor expired CO2 and O2 levels for detailed metabolic studies with human and animal subjects. Take measures to study ventilation and heat exchange. Use the dissolved O2 probe and lesson to measure the oxygen consumption of a goldfish. Chambers, facemasks, and tubing accessories provide setup options […]

Gas Analysis – Exercise

Use the new gas analysis system to create a powerful metabolic analyzer (cart) for students to measure expired O2 and CO2 and with lessons for VO2, Respiratory Exchange Ratio, and Basal or Resting Metabolic Rate. Combine metabolic and cardiac output measurements to give students a detailed view of a variety of cardiopulmonary responses.

Hardware API option – BME

Use the hardware application program interface (BHAPI) to create your own programs to control BIOPAC's MP36/35 or MP150 hardware.

Heart

Biopac Science Lab comes with three lessons focused on heart activity: Lesson 3 — ECG I Electrocardiography: Components of the ECG Lesson 3 introduces the electrocardiograph (ECG) and the recording of the heart’s electrical signal. Students learn about Lead II ECG recording and the components of the ECG complex. They also learn to correlate the […]

Human and Animal Physiology – BME

The wide range of human and animal physiology experiments provide a powerful tool for teaching students the best technique and methodology for making a measurement or performing a therapy. Each experiment demonstrates fundamental physiological concepts and educates students in the setup, recording and analysis process. Physiology basics are clearly explained. See Higher Education > Disciplines […]

In Vitro and Cellular Pharmacology – Pharm.

BSL Pharmacology System data

The new Tissue Bath Stations provide students with research-quality equipment in a modular, flexible configuration. The Visceral Smooth muscle lesson guides students through the entire recording and analysis process. Students can also electrically stimulate tissue preparations, including field stimulation, with the BSL Stimulator. To interface with Ussing chambers for ion transport studies, use the Current/Voltage […]
