The BSL System covers a wide range of cardiovascular measures based on the heart’s electrical signal. Record standard (LI, LII or LIII) or augmented (aVR, aVL or aVF) leads; add a multi-lead ECG cable to simultaneously record a pre-cordial lead. Students attach Leads I and III and the software uses Einthovens law to display Lead II. Identify, isolate and measure components of the ECG complex under varying conditions. Use the averaging features to automate ECG analysis. View and analyze arrhythmia data obtained from the NIH PhysioBank archive. Calculate R-R interval to display heart rate variability or determine vagal tone. Use the electronic stethoscope to listen to and record heart sounds and then correlate the sounds with the mechanical events of the cardiac cycle. Record cuff pressure and Korotkoff sounds to measure systolic and diastolic blood pressure. Determine pulse wave velocity. For advanced studies, use the noninvasive cardiac output sensor to record stroke volume and cardiac output.
|General-purpose Electrodes||These pre-gelled disposable electrodes have a circular contact and are most suitable for short-term recordings, including surface EMG, ECG, EOG, etc. The small vinyl backing allows close electrode placement where necessary, and a slightly less firm adhesive allows "ouchless" removal. The electrodes incorporate liquid electrolyte gel and moderately-high chloride salt concentration for quick, accurate readings.…|
|Bioimpedance Strip Electrodes||Use as an alternative to band electrodes This unique disposable strip electrode is designed for bioimpedance applications. The electrode is sticky hydrogel with carbon film backing and industry-standard medical grade adhesive, medium tackiness. The silver-silver chloride (Ag/AgCl) electrode provides accurate and clear transmission of surface biopotentials and is latex free. Advantages of the Strip Electrode…|
|Multi-lead ECG Cable (MP3X)||The SS29L Multi-Lead ECG Cable permits high resolution electrodcardiogram recordings. The lead set will allow you to simultaneously record Leads I, II, III, aVR, aVL, aVF, plus one precordial chest lead. A 12-Lead ECG recording can be obtained by alternating the chest lead electrode from position V1 through V6. The cable is terminated in three…|
|Lead set, shielded, BSL||This fully-shielded cable assembly permits high resolution recording of biopotentials using our EL500 series disposable electrodes. The 2 meter adapter is terminated with standard pinch connectors to interface with EL500 series snap electrodes. The SS2LB interfaces with Biopac Student Lab data acquisition units (MP3X or MP45) and the MP36R research unit. Compatible releases BSL Lessons…|
|Stethoscope, BSL||The SS30L was developed to teach students the standard procedure for listening to heart sounds and Korotkoff sounds with a normal stethoscope and at the same time record sound data. A microphone in the stethoscope simultaneously records the sound the student is hearing, and the BSL software will display the soundwave during and after recording.…|
|Noninvasive Cardiac Output Sensor - MP3X||The SS31LA simultaneously measures Impedance Magnitude (Zo; labeled “Z” on the module) and Derivative of Impedance Magnitude (dZ/dt; labeled “DZ” on the module). The SS31LA noninvasively records the parameters associated with Cardiac Output measurements. Measure changes in Cardiac Output under a variety of conditions: laying down, sitting up, standing up, and post-exercise. Use the Kubicek…|
