MP Systems with an STP100C module can interface with most major visual presentation programs, including: SuperLab® (see STP100W), E-Prime®, DirectRT®, MediaLab®, Inquisit®, and Presentation® for a variety of visual evoked response applications. The STP100C module connects to either the SuperLab digital I/O card or the parallel port of the presentation computer. As the presentation program presents the stimuli to the subject, it also sends digital event markers to the optically isolated STP100C module. MP Systems have 16 digital I/O lines that accept digital marker information from the presentation program. AcqKnowledge® can use the event marks to drive averaging routines for patterned visual evoked potentials (PVEP) and other visual evoked response applications.
See More...AcqKnowledge will automatically event mark and categorize the digital markers using a binary interpretation scheme. The Digital Input to Stim Events analysis script converts TTL data acquired on the digital channels of an MP device into stimulus events. Stimulus delivery events are defined in the graph for each low to high transition of the digital data, the indications of stimulus delivery. The digital channels are interpreted as a binary number. Each stimulus event placed into the graph has the corresponding number included with its label. This allows further analysis to distinguish between different types of stimulus event by using the cycle detector’s label matching capability.
