The SS30L was developed to teach students the standard procedure for listening to heart sounds and Korotkoff sounds with a normal stethoscope and at the same time record sound data. A microphone in the stethoscope simultaneously records the sound the student is hearing, and the BSL software will display the soundwave during and after recording. If ECG is also recorded, students can correlate the timing of the heart sounds with the ECG.
Note: For research applications the SS17L Physiological Sounds Microphone may be a more versatile option.
