The sensor in the NIBP100A requires replacement every 6 months. The sensor has an internal processor that monitors the age of the sensor. The sensor starts counting after the first few uses and then automatically stops on the 6-month anniversary. The sensors also have a 24-month shelf life and must be used within that time frame.
