Use impedance cardiography (ICG) techniques to record the parameters associated with cardiac output measurements, thoracic impedance changes as a function of respiration, or any kind of biological electrical bioimpedance monitoring. The NICO100C or EBI100C incorporate a precision high frequency current source, which injects a very small (100 µA) current through the measurement tissue volume defined by the placement of a set of current source electrodes. A separate set of monitoring electrodes then measures the voltage developed across the tissue volume. Because the current is constant, the voltage measured is proportional to the characteristics of the biological impedance of the tissue volume. Use the BioNomadix BN-NICO module for a wireless impedance cardiography solution.
AcqKnowledge software includes a fully automated dZ/dt waveform classifier. The software automatically scores the dZ/dt waveform with labels indicating the appropriate point in the complex. There is also a fully automated Impedance Cardiography analysis routine that uses the dZ/dt classifier to score the signal and then automatically take measurements from the points in the complex. The measurements can be displayed as new channels in the recording and/or exported to an Excel or Journal file for further analysis.
See the new Specialized Analysis Packagefor AcqKnowledge—comprehensive software tools automate advanced analysis to save hours (or days!) of processing time and standardize interpretation of results.
