Customize BSL Lessons


BSL Lessons can be used as is or easily customized to suit your curriculum.

On-screen prompts and journal notes guide students through setup, calibration, and recording to help acquire good data.

Preferences are easy-to-set menu options for

  • grid display
  • amount of guiding text displayed—if any
  • ECG Filter
  • equipment options: calibration syringe, respiration transducer, reflex response
  • temperature scale
  • heart rate
  • headphone volume
  • residual volume
  • resting skin temp

Instructor editable variables for lesson customization include

  • Analysis options: include or exclude BSL PRO functions
  • Preference menu: lock access to Preferences to standardize your protocol
  • Save to location
  • Menu access—for instance, hide the Transform menu if it won't be used in your analysis
  • Font for journal display and reporting

Customization guidelines are provided in the BSL Instructor's Guide (PDF) that was installed to the program folder.
