BIOPAC generates over 120,000 kWh

BIOPAC Systems, Inc. has "gone green" on several fronts to reduce its environmental footprint.

  • Solar tiles on roof reduce energy use from the grid by more than 45% and have generated 122,916 kWh, saving 214,416 CO2 units (as of May 2010)
  • Motion sensor lights and energy efficient bulbs
  • Computer-controlled central air conditioning system
  • Flexible work day reduces peak impact hours
  • Offsite integration to reduce commuting impact: offsite employees working at home can be reached on a direct extension as if they were just in another part of the building and can connect to the server network for seamless workflow.
