Bilateral Electrodermal Activity

To record bilateral EDA, first obtain the following: two Galvanic Skin Response GSR100C amplifiers, three electrode leads (LEAD110A), and EDA Disposable Electrodes (EL507)
  • Place one EL507 on the index fingers of both hands and connect a LEAD110A to each electrode and the VIN + port of the amplifier.
  • Place a third EL507 electrode somewhere on the center of the body (chest or forehead), and connect a LEAD110A to the electrode and the VIN port of one of the two GSR100C amplifiers. This electrode will act as the ground and is shared by both amplifiers. Place it in a central location between the two active electrodes for best results.
  • Calibrate the system using the standard GSR100C calibration procedures.

Associated Applications:  Psychophysiology

Associated Application Notes:  187 - Electrodermal Response Guidelines - GSR100C, 216 - Electrodermal Activity (GSR) Scoring Methods
