The SS48L pneumotach can perform a variety of pulmonary measurements relating to airflow, lung volume, and expired gas analysis. Each transducer consists of an airflow pneumotach head coupled to a precision, highly sensitive, differential pressure transducer (RX137D1 with SS40L). The pneumotachs connect directly to a breathing circuit or plethysmogram chamber. For airflow and lung volume measurements, connect a short airflow cannula to the pneumotach flow head. The SS48L pneumotach is equipped with an internal heating element that can be optionally attached to the AC137A 6-volt power supply.
Effective August 2011: SS48L ships with RX137D1 166 ml/sec head instead of RX137D 150 ml/sec head.
