BioNomadix Gyrometry — Wireless Physiology
The BioNomadix Gyro Angular Rate Sensor is a full gyroscopic system (BN-GYRO). The BN-GYRO has an angular rate output, which can measure angular rotation rates in the range of ±75 deg/sec (for faster body motions, consider the BN-GYRO-300).
The system is extremely useful for measuring a number of aspects related to subject movement performance, such as stability, continuity, range and arc of rotational motion.
The BioNomadix Pair consists of two parts, a transmitter with strap that is worn by the subject to amplify and send radial acceleration data, and a receiver module...no electrodes or transducers required! The transmitter (BN-GYRO-T) can be attached to any part of the subject's body to measure single axis angular rotation associated with movement at that particular location.
The internal angular rate sensor is a MEMS gyroscope sensitive to Coriolis forces. By using AcqKnowledge to measure the gyro output, it's possible to perform an integration on the gyro signal to determine the number of degrees rotated in a specific period of time.
The unit also includes an ambient temperature output which can measure between the range of -5 to 50 deg C.
The new BioNomadix series of wireless, wearable physiology monitoring devices for life science research noninvasively records high quality data while comfortably allowing subjects to move freely in natural indoor environments.
- The BioNomadix line uses digital transmission to provide excellent signal quality for one or many subjects, for one or many signals. Amplifiers provide the full bandwidth.
- BioNomadix are configured for specific signal types; no hardware or software settings required for high quality data.
- Multiple BioNomadix can be used to provide the optimum signal combination for a research study requiring biopotential or transducer signals.
-
When used with a BIOPAC MP System, up to 16 channels of BioNomadix data can be recorded for multi-subject or multi-parameter protocols.
-
The system also works with multiple MP150 systems or third-party data acquisition hardware via an isolated power supply module.
-
AcqKnowledge software adds the power of sophisticated automation and scoring routines for each signal type, plus customization options.
-
BioNomadix accessory items include transducers, electrode leads, and a custom, pocketed sports shirt to comfortably hold multiple devices in place.
The new BioNomadix line provides all the benefits of a wireless solution with the signal quality & integrity of a wired system.
Cost-efficient option for uncompromised wireless physiological subject monitoring!
